Our TXEs are designed for young or old, regardless of physical ability. With hearing loops, helpful braille embossed controls and contrasting non slip handles.
HELPFUL CONTROLS
Passenger features such as USB chargers, climate control and driver intercom are braille-embossed for those with impaired vision.
HIGH VISIBILITY CONTRASTING
Bright, non-slip handles aid the entry and exit of all passengers, especially those with limited vision, while high visibility seat edges help passengers safely find their seat.
INDUCTION LOOP
We also have an induction loop, allowing hearing aid wearers to hear the driver clearly, the channel is also marked on both sides of the vehicle with visible labelling.
And with our large clear partition screens passengers are able to communicate visually with drivers.
Our taxis set the standard for inclusive and sustainable urban transportation. Whether you are in a wheelchair, struggle with sight or have hearing problems we can look after all your needs every step of the way.
Our swivel seat and step help our passengers with restricted mobility.
SWIVEL SEAT
Sometimes restricted mobility impacts the ability to twist so to provide easier entry and exit. An easily accessible swivel seat pivots outside the vehicle for better access.
INTERMEDIATE STEP
We have an intermediate access step, reducing the step height by half enabling passengers to exit the vehicle with greater ease.
Our Licensed London taxis are specially designed to accept customers with all needs, including those in wheelchairs and those with difficulty transferring. Our ambassador drivers understand that each passenger is unique and may require personalised assistance.
The easy to use, strong ramp offers easy access for wheelchair passengers. Entry is further aided by the shallow ramp angle, that of a typical kerb.
Prominent lips to each edge help to ensure the wheelchair’s angles and prevent the wheels from leaving the ramp.
The taxis also have a high door opening, which is a real benefit to all passengers, especially for wheelchair users. It reduces the need for stooping upon entering the taxi and reduces discomfort in the case of wheelchairs users.
Wheelchair users may remain in their wheelchair and travel forward facing when travelling with us thanks to our comprehensive restraint system in-line with the ISO 10542 standard.
We are delighted to announce our two newest additions to Sherbet HQ. In addition to our growing fleet of taxis, our growing business welcomes Kate Patrick as the Head of Direct Sales and Adlee Sharon as the Marketing Executive and Lead Generator.

Her wealth of experience includes some global market leaders such as JC Decaux and Clear Channel. Kate shared her thoughts on joining the company, “For me taxis are the perfect OOH media for branding, fame and audience targeting. It ticks all the boxes. There is no better business for this than Sherbet. I’m beyond excited to join the Sherbet family and help drive their growth to the next level and beyond.”
Adlee is a marketeer with an array of international experience working with brands in the UK, India, South Africa, and more. It is an opportunity to contribute to a community that enriches the essence of London and the city’s travel industry. I look forward to adding my expertise to take the brand to new heights!”
Leah Melinek, Media Director shared, “The management is thrilled to welcome our new appointments. Our talent pool is an integral part of the taxi community to elevate our vision for Sherbet, and we are delighted to welcome them aboard.” Additionally, Asher Moses, Founder and CEO, welcomed the new starters, “Sherbet believes in redefining the London taxi with our sustainable efforts. I am excited to invite our new additions who have joined us in this quest and look forward to what the future promises.”
We recently had the pleasure to work with Agenda Media International on a Taxi Advertising campaign for Embassy Gardens & Ballymore. We are pleased that our branded taxis are back this year achieving high visibility in the city promoting the new Ballymore development in Nine Elms featuring 35- meters high and 25 meters-long Skypool that seems to float in the air.
The heavyweight campaign also includes branded interior tip seats and PR activations.
