Our taxis set the standard for inclusive and sustainable urban transportation. Whether you are in a wheelchair, struggle with sight or have hearing problems we can look after all your needs every step of the way.
Our swivel seat and step help our passengers with restricted mobility.
SWIVEL SEAT
Sometimes restricted mobility impacts the ability to twist so to provide easier entry and exit. An easily accessible swivel seat pivots outside the vehicle for better access.
INTERMEDIATE STEP
We have an intermediate access step, reducing the step height by half enabling passengers to exit the vehicle with greater ease.
Our Licensed London taxis are specially designed to accept customers with all needs, including those in wheelchairs and those with difficulty transferring. Our ambassador drivers understand that each passenger is unique and may require personalised assistance.
The easy to use, strong ramp offers easy access for wheelchair passengers. Entry is further aided by the shallow ramp angle, that of a typical kerb.
Prominent lips to each edge help to ensure the wheelchair’s angles and prevent the wheels from leaving the ramp.
The taxis also have a high door opening, which is a real benefit to all passengers, especially for wheelchair users. It reduces the need for stooping upon entering the taxi and reduces discomfort in the case of wheelchairs users.
Wheelchair users may remain in their wheelchair and travel forward facing when travelling with us thanks to our comprehensive restraint system in-line with the ISO 10542 standard.

The Trade Ready article suggests that by leveraging your brand’s environmental and ethical responsibility you can win over new customers. Nowadays responsible and eco-aware consumers are more drawn to companies that support sustainable initiatives even if it means paying higher prices than for other less green alternatives. Businesses that have an environmentally friendly brand image could bring a new segment of consumers, in result increasing revenue and growth. It was an absolute pleasure loaning The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans (www.taxicharity.org/) two Sherbet London taxis over the weekend to drive ex-servicemen to the National Memorial Arboretum with 45 WWII veterans D-Day commemorations. Taxi Charity was established in 1948 and provides social events and commemorative trips for veterans from all conflicts to combat loneliness and isolation. A fantastic taxi trade charity – very well done all involved.
