We worked with the Mühle team to understand their brand story and ensured the taxi artwork design featured Mühle’s Plastic-free Companion safety razor on a gorgeous mint background and their white brand logo on the side. As a part of the collaboration, the taxi took over Soho, contributing to the ultimate brand experience for the special Companion Launch Event.

It was an absolute pleasure loaning The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans (www.taxicharity.org/) two Sherbet London taxis over the weekend to drive ex-servicemen to the National Memorial Arboretum with 45 WWII veterans D-Day commemorations. Taxi Charity was established in 1948 and provides social events and commemorative trips for veterans from all conflicts to combat loneliness and isolation. A fantastic taxi trade charity – very well done all involved.

Our bright yellow branded taxis with 3 different slogans were celebrating the good old days in 2019 when it wasn’t acceptable to wear PJs to work, and clothes went on your bottom half too!
Throughout the day, we provided exclusive VIP rides to and from the River Island store at Oxford Street. Influencers and journalists enjoyed their safe cab journeys driven by our brand ambassador drivers. Branded hand sanitisers were also available for passenger use. The whole event was widely shared on social media creating campaign buzz and generating massive engagement. People can now use what3words addresses across all Sherbet Ride booking channels to get dropped off at precise locations.
Today, Sherbet Electric Taxis announces its partnership with location technology, what3words. what3words will enable new & existing Sherbet Customers to provide more accurate location data and help Sherbet deliver a Safe & Sustainable service in our London Taxis. Passengers can enter a what3words address for their pick up or drop-off location, meaning they no longer have to enter long and often unreliable street addresses. Three words are all they need.
what3words is an easy way to identify precise locations. Every 3 metre square has been given a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. So, for example, ///cafe.track.logo will take you to the easiest pick-up point outsideof Charing Cross.
Moving around London will be easier and simpler than ever and Sherbet drivers will no longer have to waste time looking for the exact pick up or drop-off locations. Since the Prime Minister unveiled the roadmap out of lockdown, we have seen an increase in enquiries and messages from London Taxi Drivers to find out when is the best time to come back to work.
Across social media we have seen the right questions being asked by cab drivers;
“How’s the street?”
“Is it worth coming back yet?”
“Are you earning?”
Inevitably and understandably many responses include “Not worth it yet”, “Only done £75 today”. However, the light at the end of the tunnel is definitely getting brighter as more positive responses such as “you put the work in & you will go home with money in your pocket”, “definitely improving”, “more good days than bad days now”, “came back 2 weeks ago and happy given the situation” are starting to surface.
Is now a good time to come back to work?
London is slowly coming back to life. Schools return on Monday 8th March, this means more people will be moving and want to be moved. The weather is getting better so more people will start to go outside. The CEO of Goldman Sachs has announced that Goldman staff will be returning to the offices, we are seeing bookings coming back for schools runs, taxi bookings from Corporate customers, enquiries from new corporate customers all wanting to know more about Sherbet Electric Taxi services as they are starting to plan for the new normal.
